Welcome!

The First Nations Digital Inclusion Dashboard allows you to view statistics on how First Nations Australians use phones, internet, online tools and media and information services.

The data from this dashboard helps us to understand the barriers to digital inclusion for all First Nations Australians in urban, regional and remote areas, and how these results compare to the rest of Australia. It also enables measurement towards Closing the Gap Target 17, which aims to close the gap in digital inclusion between First Nations Australians and other Australians.

Throughout the dashboard, we compare the data to two national scores:
  • First Nations national: The average score for all First Nations Australians
  • National non-First Nations: The score for all Australians other than First Nations Australians. This differs slightly from the National score in the ADII Dashboard, which is the score for all Australians including First Nations Australians.

Survey data used in this dashboard was collected across remote, regional and urban Australia through partnerships with First Nations organisations and communities, drawing on nearly 3000 surveys with First Nations Australians.  You can find out about how the data was collected, and who was involved, at https://digitalinclusionindex.org.au/national-data-collection/.
